Post-Election Loving-Kindness Meditation
Loving-kindness meditation is my go-to practice in times of stress, uncertainty, despair, and grief. It is especially powerful when it feels like there’s nothing we can do to change heart-breaking circumstances. Right now, this is what I feel we can do: care. We can focus on our well-being and we can actively care about the well-being of others. We can pause to appreciate and care for those working to make life better for all of us.
Find a quiet space and get comfortable, take in a few deep breaths and repeat these loving-kindness phrases to yourself.

May I feel love and joy.
