Support for Caregivers

If we are fortunate, we have a lot to care about. Our cares can include our love ones, including families and friends, our larger community, our work, our daily activities, our environment. We also need to care about our wellbeing, but that might be something that ends up at the bottom our To-Do lists.

Caring can be stressful. We may be worried about a loved one’s well-being. We may be worried about your own well-being. Our brains may become overwhelmed with thoughts and worries. Our bodies may be tensed and stressed by holding all of our cares, Our nervous systems may send us into fight, flight, freeze, or fawn mode.

Mindfulness activities, including meditation, can calm our minds and bodies.
